5 weeks now into my first proper bait, couple of bank accounts reported; we've hit a bump in the road now though as my character is recovering in hospital from surgery (I needed a cover for when real life me went on holiday!)

I am surprised at how understanding the barrister is being over me not being able to send him the money right now:

Well, I think that it would be better for us to stop anything monetary affairs until you get well from your illness. In life, there are things which is more important and that is GOOD HEALTH. So I advise you to stop talking about this issue until you get fit.

I was half expecting him to suggest I get somebody else to transfer the money on my behalf...I am hoping that this is a good sign, that he feels he has invested enough time to patiently wait!
Of course I can think of plenty of other things for us to discuss whilst I'm in recovery Laughing

I love this lad! I have been asking him about traditional Senegalese food, as I want to prepare a traditional meal when my fiance arrives in the UK.

Quote:
As per your request from my wife. Well she has given me the listed ingredients required for preparation of the local dish.

1. A kilo of Rice.
2. A kilo of Meet/Fish.
3. Little quantity of Groundnut/Red oil.
4. A bulb of Onion.
5. 2Cube of Maggi.
6. Carrots.
7. potatoes
8. Pepper-Salt-Curry. Etc.

She said that you can prepare it in-form of fried-rice or jellof. But she promised to teach you properly on how to prepare the dish when we come for the up-coming wedding. Therefore, I think that it will be better that way, since it will enable you to know more about my country’s dishes and culture as well.

Looks like I will be needing lots of verification on these ingredients, plus the actual recipe. Very Happy

I guess if I'm going to prefer a lad over any, it'd be one that chooses not to scam sick people. I wonder how long he'll actually hold that credo?

I'm wondering the same thing. My plan is this:

Stay in hospital having banal conversations with the lad until I sense he's getting impatient.
Make recovery, but then sadly pass away (having been advised to stay at home, this could possibly happen on the way to Western Onion.)
At this point my son will take over the bait, and it will transpire that a substantial amount of money was left in the will to the fiance. I would then try and get the barrister to go on safari to collect the money from the son in person.

Ambitious I know, but it might work!
