Yep I get those all the time and make some my of own
If I ask for a receipt or prove that he killed his mother he'll send me something, that's for sure, that's how they make their money
Since when do we trust anything that we get from a lad (or even by email) |

When I was a child, I dimly remember receiving as a birthday or a Christmas present something called a John Bull printing kit.
What this gift allowed children to do was create their own rubber stamps, letterheads and personalised symbols which, with the aid of an ink pad, they could use to make official looking correspondence |

I have never read a bait where the baiter TOLD the lad/scammer to have someone else do the art piece or pose for a photo.
Likewise telling the lad you are staying at a certain hotel or are admitted to a certain hospital does not say "call me there".
Who the lad decides to involve is his decision, not the baiter's. Telling the lad to call an ITP is crossing the line even if the ITP is law enforcement.
Note, I did disclaim that the baits I have read didn't TELL the lad to involve an ITP. |

The point of which is to try and minimise any chance of the artist getting ripped off if the lad decides to employ an artist. I'm pretty sure the artists are savy enough to get a payment in advance. These receipts are not the usual rubbish. But yes, the fact is, you don't know. You have to take that risk. But I guess if someone says "it" you're already upset, Doodle.
Tell me, Doodlebug, what art baits have you done? |

Since we have no way of knowing how our lads acquire certain things or what methods they employ, I would think it's impossible to reach an actual conclusion on the topic.
Juliette, you raise some excellent questions with this thread (even if ethics is an unpopular topic), but I think any the answers are only speculative. We know for sure that scammers despise any kind of work, and that they have no problem taking advantage of others where and whenever they can. The idea of some of them scamming, coercing or forcing an ITP to do their bidding is certainly not absurd. The idea of not baiting them for fear that they might involve an ITP however... well, that might be taking it too far. I don't think anyone here would knowingly condone a bait that involves ITP's, but it would be very hard to verify one way or the other. In addition to being useless thieving parasites, lads are also sociopathic liars who cannot be trusted.
That's why I'm going with the majority on this one: It's all a matter of personal values and ethics. Values and ethics are good things (without them we'd be lads), but they're not always easy to have! I can only offer one solution that is known to help without fail: Beer. |

^^juliette, you post questions and ask for opinions, yet when they are given, you are sarcastic. Every one of us has a different perspective on things, and each member that replied in this thread replied from his or her point of view.
I don't know what you consider to be a "worthy answer" but each member that took time to contribute to this thread has said something worthy. If you want specific information, please state specifically what you want, and what type of answer you are looking for.
I have seen a few snarky comments from you, and frankly, it bothers me. If you aren't happy with things here, you do have choices. |

Monseignour was right, I was referring to the 'beer solution', no sarcasm intended
I know, that in written speech sarcasm is hard to interpret properly - that's why I always put [sarcastically] sign when I want to be sarcastic.
Cheers! |

No harm done then, juliette. One thing you might want to do is quote the part of the post that you are replying to so that it is clear. Please don't quote the entire post, and don't quote the post above yours, only the relevant parts.
Beers to you! |

Hello Juliette.
I'll put my 2p in and then creep away quietly. It's a bit simplistic, but to my mind,
1. I am baiting a criminal.
2. This criminal has no difficulty paying money for stolen identities, passports, driving licenses, etc. he uses to scam innocents.
3. This criminal is under no obligation to send me anything I ask for so,
4. If This criminal involves someone else in the transaction, it is entirely at his discretion. I am not baiting anyone he chooses to involve in the transaction, I am baiting him.
If you consider it from the reverse position, when a scammer is successful, he not only scams the victim, but may "scam: the victims bank account, mortgage-holder, job, reputation self-esteem etc.
If you are not comfortable baiting where there may be a third party involved, by all means do not. There are massive opportunities to bait simply to waste a lads time, and that in itself is a contribution.
Good luck. Bait safe and have fun.
