I got a phishing email for a "new Member Satisfaction Survey" located at

http://www.digiads.co.nz//Artnet/reg/.AppleFileInfo/.cgi-bin/update/security/www.susquehanna.us/survey.htm

I sent an email to the technical support dude at [email protected].

I will check back in a few days to see if Mark believes his web site has been hacked and is really hosting a phishing site.

We don't deal with phishing lads or websites here, but it sounds like you are having fun baiting him. Give him hell! Laughing

I went through a phising site phase. I spent time investigating sites and locations and notified admins. I got no help. Once in a while the referenced site would disappear but whether I caused it on not, I don't know. It is interesting to see how they set these up and where they come from.

Don't expect a reply. I have come to the conclusion that many admins don't care, are too busy to care or support it. You could assume, if you like, that if the site 404s then you did it. When reporting, you should attach the received phish email with headers and the linked address and the faked link and explain that it linked to them with any supporting info you have. As sheboppe said we don't deal with phising sites so posting what you report is not much good for us. We don't have the contacts and pressure it takes to shut them down. But, if you find one faking a big known company (like eBay, or a bank) forward the email to the bank/company fraud department; they have much more power to take it down.

I remember s/o posted the linkty to the phishfighting website in a similar thread. Perhaps it helps to give extra ladpain. Personally I never used that site, though.
