I sometimes want to create a list of email addresses for the purposes of sending ASEMs. Until now, this used to involve a lot of cutting and pasting of text from individual emails into a text editor. No longer - now I have found two quicker ways to compile these lists, using Gmail.
1) Click on "Contacts", select all the email addresses you want, and click "Export". You will end up with a file that requires a small amount of editing to create a comma-separated list of email addresses that can be pasted into the BCC field.
2) Select the emails that match your criteria (use Labels, Starred, keywords, etc). You can't see the email addresses directly, but you can if you select the chunk of text listing the messages, right-click and select "View Selection Source" (in Firefox). Again, you get a text file that does contain email addresses, and again it requires a small amount of editing.
