Should this be updated/removed?

There were discussions about cashbaiting several years ago. It has since been outlawed on the board.

Then the Wiki page should be changed. Its the second thing up if you google 419eater.com. Meaning anyone looking for info about the site sees that.

Cash baiting is not something that is condoned by 419Eater.

The quote posted by Special K, says it all really.

I think the Wiki entry does state that it is no longer condoned.

The page does not appear to be locked. Usually if it is the page has a header stating it is locked and why. So it could be edited if the position on cash baiting is not clear enough, on the Wiki I mean, it is perfectly clear over here.

Let's rephrase its contents then. Wikipedia relies on printed sources and publications. Shiver's Greetings in Jesus Name is probably the best-known book about scambaiting. However, due to its age, it does feature several stunts that are no longer condoned by the community.

Two examples: The Tale of The Painted Breast still remains on the third place on the Letters Archive list. A Stunt Too Far is near the end of Shiver's list, with fake IDs and lad education.

My point: These should feature "an old bait" and "do not try this at home" stamps. Times and methods have changed, but many visitors are still reading these things without any idea how harmful they can be. Hosting these baits on Eater's featured section gives them an extra sense of credibility.

Disclaimers: I'm not bashing Shiver, the baits are funny, I don't condone cash-baiting and I'm not into historical revisionism either.
