I'm thinking of getting a 50cc moped for occasional use round town; can anyone tell me what the maximum weight is, as I'm a big lad (18 stone/105kg)and worried that I'll be too heavy for it. |

It should be fine at 230 Lbs. it will struggle a little on hills but beleave it or not it will run great on the flat ground. |

I'd get something bigger-i had one of these and it did me fine
iirc 50cc's are limited to 30mph or similar. That is if you are in the UK. Dunno about elsewhere
However if you want something that will survive a nuclear attack i'd recommend these
but they have gears whereas the first pic is a 'twist and go' |

It's going to be a 50 becuase
1. Mrs E doesn't want anything too big
2. As we've both had car licenses since the Boer war, there's no CBT
3. We're only talking about pottering round town; I'm going to use it to commute to the station which is about 2 miles. I would cycle but it's a bit hilly and I don't want to get all sweaty. |
