Samos= Männerinsel (Men's Island)
("Samen" = "Semen" in German)

The word "Lesbian" is derived from the name of the Greek island Lesbos only because of the female Greek poet Sappho who wrote love poems praising love for women.

Trying to relate "Samos" to German "Samen" (= English "semen/sperm") is about as far fetched as relating Earth's satellite, the Moon, to a whacky Korean religious sect.
