That's interesting. We have a rather impoverished area near where I live and I see the exact same problem: the kids. And then I have to ask the question that no politician dare ask for fear of his public life. Where are the parents? Even if you can't find work for yourself that is no excuse to not try to raise your children well. Many of the issues (certainly not all of them) in these areas would be solved if people would just take responsibility for their kids.

Wake up people.
