My AVG Free is refusing to connect to the internet for updates. Any advice?

It depends on how long it has been refusing to connect .... if its just short term, like at this moment .... try later ... if its long term, like over a few hours ... thats different. I think if you answered that, someone could offer better advice.

That doesn't sound like much ... but believe me ... needs to be answered Wink

I do have a problem because this has been going on for a few days. I tried to uninstall the 7.5 and then install 8.0 and still it won't connect.

A lap top with AVG installed has been updating without a problem.

(Arrghh - spelling)

UPDATE - Bollocks, I just checked out the update url and I get a 404 not found message. now to work out how to change the bloody url.

What OS are you using. I had to dump AVG because it no longer supports Win98 (or vice-versa ).
I now use Avast!
