The State of California treasury has a website listing unclaimed funds
which it is holding.

Several years ago, I found my mother's name on the list and
she applied for and received around $80.

Currently a friend is on the list for $200, I sent him the state forms
and he may get the money.

Yep, I got a few hundred from that website. What was annoying is that it was listed as unclaimed due to change of address.
It was from a company I did business with while at my current address. They clearly did not try to pay me Rolling Eyes
