Gave the FBI phone #

This happened over a year ago so I don't remember all of the details but here's what I did. I received the run of the mill Nigerian style scam email. I looked up the anatomy of a credit card number so it would be accepted when I entered it. I played along with everything as asked. Then at one point I was asked for my name, and telephone number. I googled the FBI and got the name and phone number of someone who was mid level. I gave the scammer the name and number of this FBI person. I never did know what happened but I hope he contacted the FBI with all of the details of what we had discussed previously.

Please don't give out the number for the FBI, Pedros Pizza, or anyone else, that's known as involving innocent third parties, you'll find more info on that in the stickies. Give them a fake number by all means but don't involve anyone else, there are many ways around it.
At the end of the day it's not going to worry your lad much, all it achieves is wasting the feds time. It's not really a bait either, as soon as he phones the the game is up.
