This is NOT a political statement. DO NOT turn it into one!

Since I had nothing to do yesterday other than babysit the small Bawls, I was offered a chance to go hear Obama speak. (For our members outside the US, he is running for president). The line was tremendously long, but my sister-in-law got there early and got a spot in line. She had 1 small Bawl, and I brought the other small Bawl.

Once we got inside, we were approached by a staffer of Obama and asked would we like to go on stage with Senator Obama. Being the attention whore that I am, I agreed.

I am fairly certain we were asked because I am a middle aged guy (not to mention stunningly good looking) with kids, and I think that's what they wanted on stage to create balance.

Overall, a good speech, but I still have no idea who I will vote for come election time.

But I still think you should ask for trophies:

Let Obama hold a sign that says: "I support Bill Clinton" ...now THAT would be worldclass baiting, Harry!!

Oh, and in case you are also baiting Hillary, let her hold a sign with "Clinton & Lewinsky 2008" on it. Twisted Evil

Ha, cool stuff. Since I am not American, can you tell me how this worked? You just went there and with a bit of luck got on stage with Obama? Or do you need to be a registered democratic voter to go to those meetings?

It worked like this. The Democratic party of my city had 2000 tickets to see him. It was first come-first served. My sister-in-law went and got them. You did not have to be a registered Democrat, or a registered voter for that matter. When we walked into the arena, they approached us, and asked if we wanted to go on stage. It was all being in the right place at the right time.

@Bomb......yeah, after about 30 minutes of waiting for Obama to come on stage, he was ready to go home. Laughing
