I'm seriously pissed off right now. Youtube has pulled part 1 of the Michelle saga for "inappropriate content" despite my making sure any swear words were censored and she was fully clothed throughout. The only even slightly risque word was "naked". Does anyone know if there's any way to dispute the decision, or if not, then is there another site like Youtube that won't pull videos for no reason?

Dailymotion seems to be a bit more lax in their obscenity standards.

THIS is the video in question. What makes it all the more annoying is it had had 998 views before they pulled it.

I don't find anything wrong with that video at all, and I don't understand why You Tube would have removed it.

I watch Trailer Park Boys clips on You Tube occasionally and you ought to hear the foul language/adult content. It's uncensored....and I hope they leave it that way.

Someone once removed one of my photos on my Photobucket account, claiming it was obscene. I was surprised because though the three people in the photo were nekkid, it showed them from the shoulders up so that none of their naughty bits were showing. Talk about prudish!

They haven't heard about saunas? :p It's like Janet Jackson's boob was "revealed" few years ago and they were like "Oh my". Well they should come to Finland, go to sauna and watch some Finnish quality TV-series Very Happy

No, they don't have time to start all that crap to make you feel a little less offended Very Happy

It's not their fault, it can be lots of reasons, perhaps legislation in certain countries/state.

Usually they would do all in their power to keep it up but obviously they have automated parts of the system which may show as a match (maybe sometimes its wrong).

Theres lots of plugins like this. I used to save football games from youtuve my mate would record for me live at the match Very Happy

The quality is suprisingly good too.

Which would be ok if I felt the video was at all obscene. But no matter, I now have a dailymotion account too and I'll upload everything there as well as my photobucket account, plus I'm looking into setting up my own site to host the videos.

@leccy - I personally use downloadhelper for copying files off youtube.

who has taken the time to write to the youTube crew...wouldn´t this mean that another report from you, stating your aims as a scambaiter, would help getting it up again?
If I can help just whistle.
Maybe this is bound to happen more often in the future...to me it looks like one ladette was not really happy about it, and just wrote some crappy report.

I believe this was bound to happen, some lad reporting it.

Why don´t you concentrate on the fact that in less than one hour 77 people found it, more than on YouTube?

I was wondering, maybe the guy given the bad rating misunderstood the term ladyboy Very Happy

and then thought "ugh" ...

No idea though why I can´t rate it right now...nothing happens; supposing it works the same as in youtube and ebay. Maybe tomorrow. Take a break as well.

@ Special _K - I did the filter, but I've turned it off now. Another video has been added as well - the one of some of my trophy pics. Let's hope this gets better received.

Rating works now. You have to give a comment first, then you can rate it - actually, it´s logical.
With the second video, however, rating works without commenting before...maybe I must have had an account older than 1 hour.

I stopped by and rated it. It'll be easy enough to keep high ratings for the vids if enough baiters pop in.

i'm not sure high ratings will save it?

The copyright issues usually pop up right after you upload it....within minutes.

I think there's some sort of formula that triggers the removal AUTOMATICALLY when enough people flag it as offensive...MAYBE the 'flags' are wieghted against the high ratings?

I think what happens is an offended party is getting friends to sign up to youtube, 'flag' the video and or complain.

I seem to notice a lot of new users commenting, new sign ups, empty pages.

I tried to delete comments with profanity, etc. The actual content of the video seems to have no impact.....it has to be people protesting/flagging.

FWIW One of my Youtube accounts was suspended for two weeks. Smile

The other is probably close.....but I think 'high viewership' means safety.

I honestly don't think Youtube cares whether this is baiter content or not.

They just want high amounts of traffic, preferably without a lot of headache.

Just had a chat with 419Weasel, incidentally touching the webhosting subject, and she says that a paid hosting site would be good. It seems that as long as it's paid hosting (and not a free piggyback site), they are more relaxed
