Alright, someone better fess up... or I uncovered a new form of skype scamming. Who sent me their Don Juan "romance scammer" on my skype account? Fess up here! I'd post the conversation, but it's definitely NSFW with all the comments I made to this chap.

Is this:

1. a new form of making contact for romance scammers, or

2. did someone think it would be funny to pass me their Don Juan unexpetedly?

If this was option 2... I have an interesting skype conversation for someone.

edit: If anyone can figure out how to get the emoticons from that skype conversation into the eater I'll post it. Keep in mind I bash him for being gay, atheist, and a communist... although in a funny eater kind of way. I'll probably want to run it through a mod first.

1a. a newer and less common form of making contact for romance scammers.

If it's free and they can use it in some way to scam people, then they'll use it. Most go for Yahoo, but Skype and Gmail are becoming more commonly used.

@ all: I tried posting up the conversation but it won't let me post. Has anyone had any difficulty getting skype conversations up before?

^^^^ If you can highlight the text with your mouse ( Hold down the shift key and drag the pointer) then just hit Ctrl + C and then paste it in the window.

This worked for me with the Linux client should work with the windows client too.

Let me know if you have problems and I'll fire up the XP machine and try it out.

I keep getting an error that says "no post mode specified." If you want I can send you a txt file with the conversation. The emoticons are all verbal now... but it should get the point across to any skype users.

Another route I've been trying was to load up a pdf print of the conversation... but I can't load the file on my file manager here. My computer hates me today... darn pc's. Laughing

Well, pretty much the highlight and Ctrl + C option should work with anything. So not to be offensive but:

Hold down the left mouse button and drag the pointer across all of the text you want to copy. When the text is all selected let go and then press the Ctrl key and the C key. Hold them down for a second at the same time.

You have now coppied the selected text into your clipboard. Works the same for Linux or Windows. Then wherever you want to paste the text you can rt click or hold down the Ctrl and V keys at the same time. It should work.

If you want to email me the text sure, I'll post it for you.
