What's the deal with this one?

Here's proof that it ain't just the new members (I don't say "newb") with these questions. A really well done message landed in my spambox (catcher account), but it's not the standard cheque-mule intro. It came with a couple of linkies and the body of the message was this...

Do I think it's a scam? Hell yes. It landed in my baiting account amid all the male enhancement and 419 intros, and it has all the indicators: It's aimed at losers, the site says "risk free" a lot, and oh yeah there's a startup fee.

So my question is this... is there a way to bait this one? Has anyone done it?

Dixie just applied, but her Amex number was found to be invalid.

It's almost certainly a well shielded scam operation. No fee, you don't get to have a look. $197 up front thank you, and take your chances on what you get.
I'm Australian based, and this is a US operation apparently. This requires someone with the necessary skills to locate the host and the registration details of the site.
I'll check Dixie's email shortly and see if there is any feed back. Will post if any turns up. I cannot think of any way to bait them.

As is the info for ezinternetincome1.com, which points to a clone site, and penbrookproductions.com, which is the domain of their "customer care" email.

If what Albright claims is true, it almost fits the Pyramid Scheme mould. Sounds extremely dodgy, and is bound to extract fees from a lot of people who can least afford to lose.
If all registration data is protected, that is not the MO of a genuine business.
Again, I agree with SOF, it couldn't be baited.
They have Dixie's email and (fake) address, but I doubt that there will be any contact after the Amex card bounced.

I guess it's just further proof that a) you don't have to be west African to be a scammer and b) just because a business is legitimate doesn't make it... legitimate. Like those "accredited" online universities or "Canadian" online pharmacies, there's just no baiting them. Besides, there are better ways to get rich working at home!
