Is this a scam by itself? (Placement of ads)

I've got a new job! Hurray! They request me to place ads in newspapers and are ready to pay through WU. They pay $20 commision per ad + expenses + bonus. Even more, they send the expenses and 50% of the commision upfront!

Nevertheless, the ad sounds a bit suspicious:

assistant on free schedule. No experience is required.

So, my questions are:
Is this a scam by itself or an effort to anonimously place mule recruting ads?
Should I proceed with doing the job (or pretending so) and try to get more infos? (I can apply for the job afterwards myself)

The upfront commissions and expenses are likely to be a fake check. And very likely to have an overpayment scam part as well.

One "ad" posting things involve the envelope stuffing scam.
