Ive been getting fake employment scams, mostly promising a management position for money laundering.
The new catch is that they are sifting for Cell Phone numbers AND which CARRIER the cell phone is with.
Cant figure that one out. Whats the catch? |

Different carriers have different formats for their numbers. It's another way of finding genuine vics. |

I reckon you've got a cheap lad there who knows how to SMS for free from the companies websites and likes the idea the texts won't appear to come from Nigeria... The networks only like to offer free web texts to their own customers, in the UK at least. Just a guess, play him, see how it pans out! |

I wouldn't be surprised if they are not in the slightest bit interested in gathering specific cellphone info. I think they just ask questions in an attempt to sound official.
I'm sure some of the more expereinced 'employment scam' guys might throw some further light. |
