I'm rooting for The Giants because one of my baiting characters is "Eli Manning" 
It would be a great ending for the bait if Eli could do well at his big "meeting" today 
And oh yeah, pure spite for me too 
eta: Oh well, nevermind the bait. The lad finally learned how to google literally two hours before the Super Bowl.

I'm watching it here in Germany on a channel with no ads.
So I get to see what the Americans in the USA can't see: i.e. during the stupid ads (between plays) for perverted beer (= 'lite'), wasteful cars etc., I get to see the players standing around on the field, totally bored, picking their noses through the facemasks, scratching their butts, re-arranging their cups, and then suddenly going into a huddle and looking fierce when they get the signal that the ads are over.
Ya gotta love the media. |

That was a damn good game, but I think the best one yet was when the Giants knocked off the Bills....was that 1990? Somewhere around there.
I wanted to see the Packers make it, but I have to admit that Eli played really well. I'm sure he has an endless supply of people who want him over for dinner.
We don't often get a Super Bowl like that one. I didn't think I would end up watching the whole game.
BTW, I wish Tom Petty had opened with "Jammin' Me" or "Change of Heart". But I was glad that "Runnin' Down a Dream" was in the set. |

seriously though... if you didnt or couldnt see it... it was one of the best games i've seen in a long time... the giants really did want it more than the patriots... and it really showed in the 4th quarter. |

This one is going down in history. The Patriots had a perfect season and had broken two NFL records, yet lost to the Giants, who came out of no where. Whats more, the manning brothers have both won Super Bowls in back to back seasons and I think they both won MVP. this is truly a game to be remembered. |

I prefer baseball, but I enjoy a good football game. However, I hate the hype and hypocrisy of media dominated pro ball. College ball used to be good, but the media has over-hyped that too. So high school ball it is.

I completely agree with that statement and think that pro ball players of ALL the american sports are WAAAAAAAYYYYY overpaid for a game they are supposed to love playing... it is very screwed up that a lot of kids think they can count on a career at that level... and then dont get a proper education dreaming of that for their livlihood...
Oh and in the states we call them crotch rockets... I admit they are fun to ride but only in moderation... I have owned many street and dirt bikes in the past 30 yrs but have to admit the cruisers are much more comfortable for long rides, cost less to insure and by all means ... in the states ... the general comrodery ... and the prestige of riding a full decked out Harley Road King really does show... I have had 2 harleys and about a dozen jap bikes... the japs do have the more dependable product overall but harley has come up to par in the past 10 yrs...
but anyone who rides a bike is a biker ... and all bikers respect other bikers no matter what they ride... there was a time i was afraid of parking my honda shadow around a group of harleys ... but after seeing the other side now... i had nothing to fret about.
