I'm outraged. I'm perturbed. I'm disgusting! I've obviously baited this lad before, and he obviously recognized my e-mail address and is hitting me up again! Or is there something about my gmail account that I just don't get?
Lemmy 'splain. I started baiting this lad this week, the standard old NOK trunk box gig. The courier company is none other than FedEx (yahoo division), who wanted my name and address plus $350 in delivery charges. I insisted on an invoice before I paid anything, got the usual "pay first, invoice later" response and pressed it for a while until my lad caved. Then he sent me this invoice. Note the receiver address...
Thing is I never provided him with an address, not even a country. I told him that the address he had on the package would suffice nicely. And here he is with a character name and city that I haven't used since my rogue days in 2004-2005!
If my lad keeps records, then surely he'd have twigged by now because I used to burn my lads in those days (prematurely too). If he somehow got it from gmail, then their service isn't as anonymous (or up to date) as they claim. If he "pwned" me or my gmail account, he'd see that he's being baited and leave.
I'm personally not worried. I live in a pretty big town, and even gmail doesn't have my real name, and I don't think African lads can afford to have me whacked anyway. But... howdy do that? |

While I like to give the lads credit for their lousy documents, the RSOT lettering was my work. I totally suck at Paint and have even less skill with Photochop or any other program, which might make my work laddish.
Hell I only threw it on because I'm all happy to finally know what those letters stand for. I used to think it had something to do with an ASEM, which I didn't really understand either. |
