I told the barrister, who wants me to send him $700, that I can only pay half the amt and not sure if I could close the deal by being able to send him the other half. But he'll take it though!

Good work! You've just made your lad prove that he is willing to re-negotiate any part of the deal at a moment's notice. (You knew he'd accept 50% of his requested payment, because it's still 100% profit for him) Now all you need to do is get him down even further.

Maybe you needed to buy medication, smokes, booze, gasoline, gunpowder or something. Then of course you just had to try your luck at the casino when you were downtown.... any excuse works! You might also go to Western Onion and find out that in your state / province / town the service charge is the same (make up an amount) for all transfers up to (make up an amount), so you decided to wait until you have the full payment. Isn't your lad impressed with your razor sharp business sense? Very Happy

Since your character might just be down on luck, maybe ask the barrister if he's willing to work pro bono or if his office accepts legal aid. Your scammer probably won't know what the hell those terms mean, so he's got a 50% chance of saying yes, which will open even more doors for you. This guy sounds like fun - enjoy him!

Right, I want to see what his response is when I can't come up with even the $300 I said I could. I'll talk him down to $250, then $200.

I've gotten lads to pay the full amount for me after my WU payment kept getting messed up over the course of a week.

Sir, this is what puzzles me. If I am unable to get the balance of the money in time for the transaction to conclude, what happens? Will the deal be null and void? Please let me know.

Actually, my IRL divorce lawyer never gets back to me. I'm lucky if I get his legal aide to respond to my emails within a day or three.

The lad that gave me my sig line only wanted half the money for the $8000.00 transfer fee from the off.

He told me he would somehow get the other $4000.00 but needed some ideas how to get it.

I started by telling him they paid at least $5.00 a time for donations at most sperm banks, and that if he applied himself he'd get the money together in no time.
He came back with what's in my siggy. I then went on to suggest he sell various bits and pieces of his body.

I finally got around to saying he would easily get $2000.00 for one of his kidneys. He came saying that was not enough, so I wrote back telling him to sell them both then.
I never heard back from him after that. Sad

I had one of my lads tell me that it cost him $8,000 for costs
and he took it out of his life savings to pay for it.

So being the great bloke I am I offered to send him his $8,000 plus another $2,000

but he wrote back and said he only wanted the $8,000, not the extra

dont get that.
