About 1.5 MPS down and 350K up. Provider will sell me 7 MPS up and down, but I don't need that kind of speed so why pay for it? |

^^Tiscali, who somehow have become the best rated broadband company in the country, and they're crap, so god knows how bad the worst is I've looked into it pretty thoroughly and I'm convinced that the UK does not have such a thing as a good broadband company (at least not an affordable one). |

my virgly is rated 4mb/s and my bethere is rated 24mb/s
in reality they run at around 2.5mb/s and 13mb/s respectively
 thats virgin id have to swap links to show the bethere but its about 3 times the speed.
Also speed tests can be very inaccurate, for example if windows decides to check something it will affect your speed rating.
That was taken some time ago - the guys speed might seem high but its just he is so close to the exchange.
