Hi all
New Anti scammer here, my cousin was almost taken to the cleaners.
Just a question would scammers have a try at a business email address or website if they were baited ?

Scammers will target any email address.
They are chasing victims.
They don't stop to think (or care) what or who the email address belongs to. |

The short answer is yes, they would. All the time.
I used to run a business selling refurbished laptops and they would try to get me all the time. |

The lads often buy long lists of email addresses, with no thought nor care if it is a personal or business address.
Some send out mass mailings using cPanel or the like, most are harvesting answers with their own scripts.
Thart is why we always use the same brief replies in our baits: "Tell me more, I'm interested".

Businesses have more money to spare than your average individual victim.
They don't seem to care when I reply to them as Anita Kw1kbuk, "senior refractionale" at T@SBEM Ad Agency.

I have been reading the info on this website, and have a few ideas for baiting 
Yes thank goodness my cousin was stopped at last moment, she went through the usual pre payment BS,which cost her a lot of money, and was stopped just before the BIG payment.

Overall its a good guide to NEVER mix business with pleasure.
Most baited lads NEVER reply once they are fed up not getting paid, even if its cost them money. |

In the days when 419 scams were intiated by either snail mail or fax/phone it was usually businesses that were specifically targetted. It wasn't until scams started to be sent out en masse by Email that joe public started to receive these scams proposals on a personal level. |
