I'm not big on Christmas, so far I have 2 x �30 cheques, they had better be real ones Laughing

, and a bottle of Paco Rabane aftershave, which is not that great a present for me, considering I hate shaving (I never wet shave) and only get the hair clippers out every few weeks and run them over my face Laughing

, should have some shower gel type present later on today.

Buying myself a bike and a digital camera.

I also got a revoltingly ugly necklace that's going on e-bay the second I get home ('we got it because you wear lots of blue'). Erm, I did ten years ago, these days I wear mostly tarty red, purple and black, witness my fabulous fingernails.

I am a simple person with a flashlight fetish so I got myself a new LED torch. It's a Cree P4 emitter in a 1 and 2 AA form factor. I could not see paying three to ten times as much for a Q5 emitter. After tracking it for ten days, it arrived yesterday from half way around the world dead. I spent about an hour troubleshooting it, soldering a lump onto its heatsink and using some silicone on it as it was missing an o-ring and a spring washer thinking, "I'm really having fun. This thing should throw more lumens than a 4 D cell Maglight. I can't wait 'till the sun goes down." I really like it and am glad that I did not pay $250 for a torch with a Q5 LED that puts out 30% more light. It starts out at half power and that's too much at night and just right during the day. The second click does 1/4 power and its perfect at night. Full power and full power strobe are just to blind people and it spells out SOS in Morse code too.

I got a trip to the emergency room at the hospital where this hunky guy was dressed in a Santa suit. Or, at least I think it was a hunky guy in a Santa suit. Can't quite tell because of the morphine they gave me. But the hunky guy did ask me to stop singing Feliz Navida at the top of my lungs.....and I replied "Kiss me Santa" Or, kiss my something Santa. Not my ideal Christmas but certainly interesting.

I got a pewter Steelers frame, a book by the owner of the Steelers, A Steelers shirt, 2 Steeler hoodies, Steelers car mats, some DVD's, 20 vicodin, a bottle of Ben Nevis scotch, and other assorted crap.

It was a fine Christmas morning for the Pastor Frank clan. (A stiff Bloody Mary at 8am does wonders) The most appreciated gift of the day was a new sweater for our "Senior Squirrel Chaser, First Class", Scout. (We named her after the character in the Harper Lee classic) . After a long patrol at the bird feeding station, with her new red ballistic vest, she lounged on the couch.

I got my gifts on Saturday because most everyone had other places to go today. Very Happy

My Grandma sent me cash and my Mom and Dad gave me a new laser printer (small monochrome one that was on sale jump_4_joy

). My Dad told me about it weeks ago, but he still wrapped it Laughing

They also gave me an extra toner cartridge so I wouldn't have to buy one for a while.

An MP3 player that isn't compatible with my computer, so my mom's probably going to send it back and get me what I actually wanted, which was a shiny new Wacom Intuos 3 tablet (my old one is broken and I can't live without it).

It'll have to be combined Christmas/birthday present, though, since it's so expensive and my birthday's in a few weeks anyway. Laughing

Oh, and my friend gave me pepper spray disguised as a Sharpie pen, because I work night shift and don't like wandering through a dark parking lot at 3 or 4A.M. to get to my car afterward. Very Happy

Some of the haul. All these gifts had "From Santa" on the tag so I consider that proof that Santa exists and wants me to be happy. He knows I was nice this year.

I got socks from my brother, a shirt and tie from my dad (one of those boxed ones, and it surprisingly fits!), a t-shirt and a shirt from my mom (I guess great minds think alike Razz

) and just good cheer$ from everyone else!
