Caught out on the first email

This cracked me up, and it's why I love gmail.
I received the standard introductory letter from a lad

Dear Sir,

thank-you for getting back to me regarding our purchase of machine
tools from your company. I am writing to confirm that we require the
following equipment, to be delivered to our works by Jan 1st 2008 :-

1x Archdale swivel-head vertical miller (Vader Imperial threads on couplings)
1x Mitchell & Webb ARX bottom grinder
2x Harrison M250 centre lathes - without enlargement pumps
2x KT-Price GT2000 flange lubricators
1x Union BFT63 horizontal borer - including Shatner's bassoon controller
2x Ant & Dec shaft polishers with grease-nipple attachments

Full payment will be on delivery but, as we discussed, we can send you
a preliminary down-payment of �5,000 immediately. Please let me know
how you want to receive this (bank draft / UK CHAPS transfer / Western
Union or MoneyGram wire transfer).

Now, unfortunatly the lad sent it to a few hundred people at once.. and someone responded to ALL the potential victims with this:

me to see the whole list of emails you've sent this silly attempt to
scam us.

As you already know collecting and distributing valid emails is an
illegal activity WHICH I have already reported.

I am also sending a copy of this mail to the whole lot of them so they
know that:

THIS MAIL IS A VERY PATHETIC WAY OF TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF THEIR
HARD EARNED MONEY.

THIS MISTER GUSTAV FENK IS A FRAUDSTER A SCAMMER A THIEF!!!!!!!!!

With it being gmail, the emails show up in the same "conversation".. just pans out so nicely.

I got a reply from the lady/gentleman who sent out the warning, turns out to be a fellow scambaiter Very Happy

I think the original email was from another baiter.

I've seen the name G F before.

I already highlighted these phrases in another thread just an hour ago.

Seems a few members are getting ASEMs from another baiter!

Ummm, yeah, if you read the list of "Equipment" you'll clearly see that it's a lark, e.g. "Shatner's bassoon controller."

But if anyone has such a bassoon controller, please let me know!
