How does one get a flag. I seen a topic a while ago but I've been unable to find it.

You get a flag by shutting down a fake bank website. The country that the fake bank claims to be in is the flag that you get.

Nope it is just about the fake bank web site. Check out the Fake Banks area here or go to aa419, that is all they do at that website.

Also good to see you posting again YW, we have all missed you here. Smile

I had a bash to earn some flags and have a decent basic knowledge but find it a little too unamusing for my personal tastes. It does look as if there is a shortage of fake site killers at the moment judging by the backlog at aa419, so I may have another purge when my current baits run down - if they ever do.

It's nice to get an all round knowledge of the various types of baiting and skills used to fight 419 scammers, but you'll probably find that one type suits you more than others, but you won't know which one until you try them all.

I've done my damnest to get an all round baiting experience, but as Gomer says, some areas suit and some don't. I managed to get a handle on basic 419 advance fee stuff, and the romance side is coming along slowly, but for me I could never get on that well with cheque mule stuff, bank sites, lotto lads or phone lads. For some of them, I'm just not savvy enough and I'm happy to admit that. There are plenty of experts in those niches here anyway.

Flags mean nothing to me personally. I don't mean that I don't respect the guys here that have a lot, because I do. I just mean that I don't measure my own baiting success in sparklies in the siggy line. For me, another unscripted, timewasting, frustrated email from my lad is good enough. On top of that, another garbled panicky expensive phone call from an angry lad is a great bonus.
I guess I know my limitations. Wink

whatever you close down you should get a fab warm glow inside that you have done your best to prevent the lad from contacting the innocent.

Baiting is a bit like going to your favourite restaurant and trying different things. You enjoy something for so long then you get bored with it a bit and then you want try something different. In my case it started with straight 419, lotto lads, then moved on to phone lads and currently cheque lads. Never really been into love Vlads because I can't stand the way they put every sentence on a different line and want to marry me before they have even road tested me.

As long as we screwing their minds and wasting their internet time that is all their matters. Each to there own.

I will never get a lad on safari, but I will be a fake cheque millionaire by this Christmas. Just don't tell the FBI or the US Customs And Border Protection who have me under surveillance. Shocked
