I replied to one of the Russian Love scams somone posted for a laugh, and i got thie heart warming reply:

Unlikely on a love scam to begin with, but ill throw a few quid on for a laugh

I'll put some money on the following bet:

- check the headers and see that it was sent by the email client calling itself "The Bat!"
- reply and you'll get 'numbered' responses. For example: Your first reply might have the subject line "Hello dear" and in return you'll get an email with the subject line "Re[2]: Hello dear". Then you reply, and her next reply will begin with "Re[4]: ...." And so on.

I'd put �5 on that.

Definately a romance scammer, and yes, it does have The Bat! in the headers. What a suprise huh? Rolling Eyes

'the bat!' and its siblings....becky,voyager...and some more I forget...are email programs used by spammers and scammers to handle large amounts of emails with multiple accounts.
in itself....its not proof you're dealing with a scammer....but is reason enough to keep digging.
some people claim normal people use it. I don't throw my email addresses at normal people!
once you learn how to fully identify a vlad....the bat is just a little motivation to keep looking for evidence
it always is there!
