You know something? Since I've been slapping the hell out of these lads I've been a much more agreeable person. It's been a great outlet for my more "hostile" thoughts. What better way to let it out than on people that deserve it?
Yesterday I brought my car in for an oil change. First, the service manager said he'd get to it no problem. Later he called and apologized that they could not get to it after all. In spite of the fact that it was a major inconvenience for me, I just said "Hey, no problem. I'll bring it back Friday."  |

That's just the first stage, don't get too comfortable. In another month, something like that will happen and you'll be wondering if the service manager is baiting you.

My bf has unknowingly benefited since I take it out on my lads whenever he messes up. It also allows me to be occasionally evil which keeps it out of RL. Baiting is cheaper than therapy. |

I was at this restaurant the other day, and the service was slow, beyond good reason.
I caught myself thinking, "Sure, I'll leave a nice tip, maybe send it to the waiter via WU next week?"  |

I agree that baiting has some positive therapeutic qualities. The only negative impact I might have noticed is that since I started baiting, I find myself being WAY more cynical and disbelieving about things in general.
Of course in some cases that may be a GOOD thing! But it does sometimes cross my mind that I recall what it felt like to be blissfully ignorant about the propensity for some humans to rob people blind at the first opportunity... |
