Forgive me if I'm missing something obvious, but is there a way to tell what date a particular image was produced in Google Earth?

For instance HERE is a GE kmz file showing the location of my trip to Goa earlier this year. Is it possible to date this image?

Apparently it only works on pictures taken from digitalglobe. It has something to do with the DG layers.

I don't appear to have those options in my GE layers section. I guess I need the pro version for that?

Edit: From what I have read it should be available in all versions. Here is something else I found that may help:

Google generally does not provide specific dates of the images that it uses in Google Earth. However, if you zoom into a place and see that a Digital Globe copyright appears at the bottom of the viewer, you can attempt to determine the imagery's date by reference to the Digital Globe catalog included in the GE Layer panel. The Digital Globe layer is currently included in the More sub-category and is organized by year and image quality. When you turn on one of its layers, you will see overlapping color outlines which represent images acquired by Digital Globe at different times. You may want to turn the various date-layers on one by one until you find the one for your area. If you click on the date icon which appears within the image boundaries, it will take you to the DG website where you can determine whether it is the image in which you are interested. Note that because Digital Globe often has multiple shots of the same area, this manual search for an image's date can be time-consuming.

In the layers bit of the latest Googleearth there is a 'more' option, the DG coverage stuff is listed in there.
It appears that the location was photographed on either :

10th February 2003, or 13th December 2003. It is handily in between 2 squares with these dates.
I did this by going to your pin mark and selecting each year in turn until something appeared (loads of blue squares) with dates.
