Thanks to Windypops for emailing me this temp link, and big thanks to Rover for keeping things going. I was away over the weekend and had very little Internet time, but I was bummed when I did try to check in and found the main link and the old temp link down. Sad

I'm relieved to be back in.

I just wish I could get my RL to settle down enough to spend my normal amount of time baiting and monitoring. It's been hellacious for the past month or so.

I am just curious - do we have any indication how much the recent difficulties have hurt membership or participation? In other words, would there be any way to tell how many members visited or posted in a typical week before the DDOS attack, and how many are actively visiting/posting now?

Just an update troops:

I've been speaking with Rover and the main Eater forums (forum.419eater.com) have been taken offline whilst the current (fairly heavy) attack is still going on.

Unfortunately as you know, it is impossible to tell how long this situation will last, but nevertheless we WILL win in the end. We're not going anywhere, even if myself and Rover are updating this thread 12 months from now Smile

In the meantime, we will try to keep the backup forums running as much as possible. Thanks to all for your patience, solidarity, and dedication to the cause!

I have brought back scamwarners.com (on the eater server) I am watching it quite closely - once I see it calm down for a couple of hours I will move us back.

At the moment It seems nice and quiet!
