I live in a small town in Northeastern Tennesee, occasionally there is some stuff in the local paper that cracks me up to no end - such as a recent robbery wherein the bandit was "armed" with a fish...
today, they busted a guy for DUI, obviously not a local, but the name had me spittin a beer out my nose...

Honestly, I've been to 47 states, lived in seven of them and I choose to live here, it's beautiful country, low cost of living - and the fish-bandits is usually about the worst crime gets around here. |

Someone I know was sent to jail for trying to hold up the garage he worked in with an asthma pump. Not only did they recognise him (he's a pretty unique body shape), laugh at him and tell him to go home, but he got sent down for 3 years for it too. |

I'm way south of everyone in south Florida but I know what you mean about small town living. I transplanted to a very small town down here where everyone knows everyone else and our local paper has been a source of amusement many times. |
