The UK channel BBC Three ran an episode of Conning the Conmen

They did a sketch on 419 scammers. I'd recommend downloading the video and watching, but if you don't fancy it I've described what happens below.

The video is quite jerky - sorry - and it runs over at the end since I forgot to press stop, but it's watchable:

BTW if anyone knows how to make windows media center vista edition record in .wmv or any format other than .dvr-ms by default, I'd much appreciate it.

"Victim" arranges to go to Amsterdam to meet the scammers. He takes a huge box with him the size of, erm, a really big box. He says it's to carry his millions of dollars back with. He also takes his head of security who is a midget (really).
Scammer driver turns up, sees this box, they have a chat about how to get it into the car. The driver does a runner. The victim calls the head scammer back who tells him to sell the box and calls him a big fool. End of sketch.

Not side splitting but pretty amusing and wasted the scammers time.

Yeah, I just caught the last 5 minutes of that earlier on, looks like the driver was Spanish or something? Bloke on the phone sounded a bit more laddish, and when he called him a, big fool, I smiled and thought I might have heard that somewhere before Laughing
