I install Netcraft tool bar 3 days ago for FF, it stays offline all the, is
their away to turn it on, not much help on netcraft website that I could find.
It doesn't detect anything

crossfire, when it's working properly you should see a netcraft logo at the top left corner just above the active window, followed by a pulldown that says "services" and then a bar with risk rating, since (date), rank (number) site report, flag and country of origin, and the host's name.

If it isn't showing that, go to tools...Add-ons and select and enable netcraft tool bar. You'll have to close and restart firefox before it will have effect.
