I think you ought to continue in this direction. It has added a great deal of depth and education to a show which before seems to have concentrated on the scambaiting entertainment value alone (which I love!) and not on the more earnest backgrounds of what scammers actually do as damage to people.
At first I thought the idea of interviewing a victim was a bit risky but judging from the feedback of the listeners in the blogtalkradio chat, everybody was really compassionate. Neither Dan nor Wayne have been unsensitive and they prepared a relaxed atmosphere, the two callers felt free to talk how they came into being romance scammed.
I think it was a great success. It should become a regular feature, provoded Wayne gets enough response by people willing to talk of their experiences. These kind of interviews could interest much more people than "only" talking about baiting for two hours.
Needs more discussion and much preparation tho from the participants´ side... |

But Barrister Peter Pan just doesn't seem to get the intonation right.
With all the voices in the background, is it safe to assume he was in an internet cafe? No wonder he was reluctant to speak Pirate or sing to you. Although, I got the feeling at one point he was almost getting into the spirit of it. |

NTBS: If you have some spare time on the next show you might want to give T0ny Oli5a a call. He is quite entertaining as he doesn't have a good grasp of his modality, for instance he doesn't seem to know the name of his boss. He is a "delivery agent" in a recovery scam. An interesting detail: he has an irish phone number. He works together with a nigerian lad who is called Eg0 Awanker or something.  |
