Don't make the same bonehead mistake I made when responding to a scammer's e-mail. If you're going to copy and paste any kind of previously used text to use as a template, make sure you DELETE the stuff you end up not using. Otherwise, your e-mail will end up like this:

I will fill out the necessary information, and send it to the bank as soon as I am finished.

I realize this is strictly confidential, but I told my spiritual adviser (his name is Mr. Big Benjimin) about this, and he thinks it is a wonderful idea. But, he was telling me that sometimes, people in Nigeria send out e-mails just like this in order to take people's money. He said that you may not be one of these people, but in order to prove it, he has asked me to ask you to take a picture of yourself holding up a sign.
Would it be possible for you to take a picture of yourself holding up a sign that says:

"I love Kings Records, Big Benjimin and DeeJay Money"

The reason it needs to say this is because his company is called "Kings Records", and his business partner is named DeeJay Money. I know this is an odd request, but he told me that if you do send me this picture, then we have nothing to worry about, and can go through with the deal. Thank you in advance for doing this. You don't know how happy it will make both myself and Mr. Benjimin.

I feel we are good enough friends that you do not need to address me as "doctor". Please feel free to call me by my first name (Iama) only. Smile

Going for a trophy pic on your first reply email is never going to work anyway I'm afraid. Take some time to win the trust of your lad, get him to fill in forms, more forms, call your number (use a Pimp My Phone number) and so on before you ask for a trophy pic. As lads generally don't have digital cameras at their fingertips it can be a bit of a mission for them to get these photos. This is obviously awesome as we want to waste as much of their time and money as possible, but means that they're unlikely to comply unless they are 100% sure they're getting money out of you. Lads appear to be getting more and more cautious about being baited these days.

You're absolutely right. I guess I just get too anxious sometimes. And I always hate it when I spend a month leading these guys along, only to not get a picture when I ask for it. Haha.

I made the mistake once of getting my baits confused and swapped lads on two completely different modalities. One was a church bait and the other my media entertainment bait.

As confused as my lads were, and I ended being, they didn't seem to care after a week or so. I just told them I was working for a ancillary company under the church and vice versa...

But to wait a bit is better, depending what you are planning to get from him.

The classic twigging is to ask for a trophy photo sign from early-on. It usually crashes the play even after a month, which might have seemed a long -enough time to you.

The way to get one--and I have many--is to be slow and steady. But more importantly--not to get photo proof from the lads so that you will further trust them...but to get them to want to have you trust them. It sounds the same but is not.

However I nowadays rarely seek a trophy photo, and do not advocate it here on the forum. I still know all the methods that work, but no divulgement here. The more important thing is stringing them along, and photo requests spook them--these things must be done delicately...

I WILL say this---your lad seems interested in rap music. And you can bet the farm that if a USA music-producer offered him a million dollar recording contract if he provided written samples of his lyrics--you have Play-Doh[!] to work with..... Been here, do this. A great op for horrible lyrics and waaaay-off-topic too!

If the lad is still in script mode he may not even be reading your Emails at this point so you might get away with it. Even if he is reading it is more possible it will just confuse him rather than make him twig your baiting him unless he has been given the hold up the sign modality before.

Trophies and laughs are in my opinion one of the bonuses of this 'hobby' not its ultimate purpose. That is to frustrate the lad for as long as possible and cause him the maximum mental pain.

I remember when I first joined I saw the Messages(New) thingy in the top right hand corner of my screen. I thought it was a new fora being promoted so didn't bother looking at it for ages. Shocked

You can sometimes get a trophy after the first few emails, but you'll probably need to email out the same script to a whole bunch of lads. It worked for me.

Nice trophy, how long did that take?

My personal record for a trophy sign is 10 days/50 emails from start-to-sign. .

My pulling-teeth one so far is about 7 months, and everything in between.

He sent me that on the 4th email Razz

(not including the initial form he sent out). Took about 3 days from start to finish Smile

I think he's rumbled me now though, not heard from him in over a week...but I was only ever interested in the silly picture.

I'm impressed. That is one anxious lad to deign to your wishes so fast.

Since he is recent, don't give up of course. He's invested the photo price and so has to get back to you sooner or later--he will do a Marcia Brady as in "something suddenly came up"..

But yeah, I agree too--once I get my sign I consider it a victory in and of itself. The rest afterwards is gravy.

Only 10% of my baiting aliases have names/companies/slogans etc that I use to eventually obtain a trophy sign. 90% of the rest of the time I bait with no ultimate photo goal.
