RIP Pinky the Pig- 4-2001-7/6/2007

Hi Everyone.

My Family and I are crushed to have to announce that Pinky Died this past weekend, We believe it was of Natural Causes, No signs of any attacks or the like. Recently, He was having some difficulty getting about with the hot weather, and as he has grown, His eyes were somewhat "Squished" From the Folds of Skin on his head. It appears he may have gotten Disorientated, and panicked. the heat was up to Mid 90's, and he could not get out of where he was. He was VERY heated when I found him, He looked like something affected by the heat. Hesimply overheated I guess?

Needless to say, I really am having a hell of a time over his sudden loss. He'd follow me to my Radio station, Listening to me sending Morse code and rtty. He'd lay at my feet the whole time, Followingmeback to sack out in the Garage. I thought It would beappropriate to lay him to rest outside the west side of the radio Shack, Where he can hear my radio beacon sendingout the Code message 24/7.

Don'tknow if I will get another Pot Belly, It was way to easy to get attached to a fault. I feel like I lost a family member.

If I do decide on another Pot Belly, I will be sure to have the usual Cast to assist me in getting the "forms " ready for the Breeders to Fill out. I know the Mighty Pinkster would have snorted an approval for that one!

Thanks gang, a few did catch the news of Pinky's passing elsewhere and emailed or called me to offer support and sympathy. It is well appreciated.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. There is nothing like a good pet. (No pun intended)

When you are ready, I hope you change your mind. Don't deny yourself the joy of a good pet just because this one passed. I hope you had more pleasure from the friendship than sorrow for the end of it.

I've never known the joys of owning a potbelly, but I can imagine what a good pig Pinky was.

Pinky was well loved in the baiting community and must have upset more than a few mugus over the years.

Very sorry for your loss, Kareem. Pinky was most certainly one of a kind, and his "baiting" antics made many of us laugh. I hope that someday another piggy will find his or her home with you, as its obvious how much the Mighty Pinkster was loved.

<br>Sorry to hear about your loss. Pets become part of the family and when they go some people, who don't have their own, can't understand why the owners are so cut up. I do.

In time, get yourself another one and call him George. Just to piss off one Mr Clooney. Whilst he will never replace your Pinky, your newbie will have his own unique personality.

I have been owned by quite a few cats over the years, whilst their loss has been pretty bad because they do become family, that should stop you from giving other pets the opportunity to own you. You can never replace a pet because they each have their unique personality and quirks. But the new owner has quirks of their own and you can appreciate them for their personality rather than being a mere replacement.

Thanks everyone...Yes, Pinkster had his glory days- pushing out the "rosebuds" and sending them off in packing envelopes looking like checks Shocked

I will keep you all informed as I progress and recover.

Sorry for being late with this, but I wanted to extend my condolences as well. I lost my beloved cat Sylvia last November and she was family. She was with me when I went thru my divorce and my relocation some 8 years ago.

Take some time off, and reflect. Find some things to do to comfort you. When you're ready, then give the next animal a good home. I did. I finally adopted two kittens in May, and although there is still an adjustment my two little boys (Moe and Larry) are developing into sweet companions, even if they frequently give me the sense that I'm living with wild animals.
