This was 2 years ago, and I was just really confused by it. It was before I knew of the scams, but it sounded waaay too good to be true. Actually I posted an ad to adopt them out as I bought the mother rat that ended up being pregnant from the store. From what I've been told, many breeders, rescues, and individuals get the same emails for whatever animal (sometimes they forget to change the animal name and reference a horse when it's actually a dog that is in the ad). Petfinder.org is free and you can see the emails, so I'm sure they use it all the time to find victims.

The fact that rats are $2-$10 sounded alarms in my head, who would pay thousands for 4 rats? Though they were dumbo rats, which are cute as h*ll. Smile
