brief run down of a few of the pics of my holiday
sri lanka
one of the river is from the famous film bridge over the river kwai.the golden roof building is the temple of the sacred tooth(in kandy) which has a 24ct gold roof and 1/2 the temple was destroyed by a suicide bomber.me and the family on an elephant ride thru the jungle.pictures of the elephants in the big river are the orphaned elephants,there is around 80 elephants at the orphanage.elephants have now been replaced by the JCB.seen a worker collecting the rubber from the trees.some mad man walking across very hot coals,believe me they were very hot.
maldives
oh another madman who feeds the rays(these are the same types of ray that steve irwin encountered) everyday,these were from 5ft to 6ft in width.various fish pic when snorkelling and the shark was just below and about 5ft in length.got other maldives pics but on my phone and cant find the lead.

the good lady was the one sitting on the branch being preened by the little girl
soz for not spinning some of the pics around but this just taken me an hour to go thru over 300 pics and upload what i thought were good quality and of some interest. |

ive got loads of elephant pictures if you want them,PM me if you want copies.
it was just fab seeing them all just playing and running around in the river.loads of babies this time, so the work them boys are doing is now showing its friuts.
the only thing that spoilt it was the beggars there,they did understand some english along the lines of fork off!! |
