I was looking through some emails I got from the lad shuttle, and came across one pretending to be an American. I just like the wording in this one. She introduces herself and says:

I am lady of 29years old, I was given birth in Tottenham London. Am mixed race, my dad is a British while my mom a native of America and am the only kid of my folks.

and then later:

Thereafter I left the guy's apartment to an hotel where I am in right now and from which I am communicating with you now. Now, I'm in need of your help, have gotten the enough money to run myself when I get to the States

Could have fooled me! Sounds just like the way a native English speaker would write. Rolling Eyes

Seriously...if they're going to pretend to be a native English speaker from the US in order to get the sympathy of Americans, like it seems, they're not going to fool much of anyone. At least pretend you're from somewhere else so your bad writing and weird phrases might be excusable. Razz

Sharing family history can be fun with a lad. I like to tell them that my mom died just before I was born, and my father was kidnapped when he was six and never seen again.

Situate yourself elsewhere for the bait--Mexico, Canada, Belize, Niihau.

Also interesting that while your 'ladette' had to flee to the fleas in the hotel, 'she' still has computer access. People out to kill her, but plenty of time and no qualms/shpilkas about owning a PC in a seedy room with net access Shocked

I ran into a begger. A young lady named Jenifer claiming to be American, like your lad. She told me that she was 'stuked' in Nigeria.
This is her story. Jenifer and her Nigerian best friend went to Nigeria to visit her best friends old country, but lo and behold they got into a nasty car wreak. Her best friend died and Jenifer came close to dying herself. She ended up in the hospital. She told me that she was not only stuck in Nigeria, but was stuck in the hospital. She was not allowed to leave the hospital until she paid her bill. I thought to myself about how She begged me to help her pay her hospital bill so she could leave.
I found the whole story entertaing to say the least. I knew she was a lad since she wrote like one, saying things like 'Am stuked here' and 'You make me crying'
