Seriously, the reason I posted is that Google are now angling to keep un-anonymised customer beyond the 18 months "at the user's request".
What they will do is make it so confusing that people opt in by error.
They are also claming to have a vision where you can't make a decision without them - it just shows their breathtaking arrogance and contempt for the consumer.
Their end game is to know everything about you and have all your money Gordon Brown must be green with envy

Meh.. google are alright.
Just run by really good businessmen.
Same as starbucks and McDonalds
A lot of people will be like "I dont eat at McD's or Starbucks, cos of corporatew blah blah..."
the way i see it... they got big for a reason.
Starbucks does nice coffee (Coffee republic is better.. just more expensive) and has nice comfy counches too chill mid uni/work
McD's does tasty food. over the last coupla years the UK has been really "Oooh must get healthy" and Mc'D s have responded by bringing out healthier options.
Google are the same... just online... they have.. what.. Yahoo, Ebay/Paypal, YouTube and a fair few otherscant knock a guy for tryna make money

I don't object to business making money - I object to them making fast and loose with my personal data for a quick buck and with no interest in whether I agree to their use of the data.
They blatantly flout the DPA.
They steal other people's IP.
And so on and so on...
As for Mickey Death - their volte face into healthy food stunk of shamless hypocrisy and opportunism brought on by "Supersizeme".
They are all at it but Google are the worst because of their unbeleivable almost messianic belief in their own invulnerability when it comes to breaking the law.

Ok, so the un'anon stuff is unethical. I diddnt know about that.
Oh and i dont belive in supersizeme
the way i see it.. if you had ANYTHING every day, 3 times a day for a month, it would screw you up.
be it Mc'D's, KFC, Dominos, even Just green salad!
The main point I got from that film/docu, was that you need to be balanced.
