I have had an "artist" on the hook for the last 3 months or so. To cut a long story short, "she" wouldn't send a trophy pic in exchange for and advance on the $USD85,000 my good friend was going to send her on completion of her work.
My little darling was about to start work on a 1 metre tall Masai Warrior - my friend was after something traditional - but just wouldn't budge on the pic.
So I told her that I went elsewhere for $10k less, but upon receipt of a trophy picture (which of course I never had), forwarded an advance.
A couple of days later, I let her know that the "goods" had arrived. She was pretty upset when she saw what $75,000 could buy these days:-

Can you just imagine her reaction when she saw that and learned how much money you "paid" for it?
Wish we had that on film! Methinks you have a trophy on the way.
