Hello Everyone!
It is great to have found a forum like this as all businessman need information for successful and beneficial business. We have been contacted by quite a few scammers from China mostly saying that they would like to purchase goods from our company in "huge" quantities. Well, of course it does sound to good to be true. Just a piece of advise, make a proper search for this company or individual in the country's archives first and then get a third party to take a look, could be just a courier company if you have the address...
As for information, if anybody ever gets in touch with an individual named Jefferson, who was last in the Northern province of China near Korea, sorry I cannot recall the name. Please do not try to do business with him. We have been informed by our agency in China that he has cheated several US companies for millions of dollars and has also tried to offer us products easily and apparently exactly what we asked for. Please do not to do any business with him.
Oh one more thing! I am sure many have been contacted by some African individuals for depositing a couple of million dollars to your account. You know how it goes, right?! They don't have a cent to make the transfer and then you give them the money, etc, etc...
What is this world coming to!?!?
Hope to been of help...

Thank you, Marksman. We are quite aware of these types of scams and their many variations.
Others may not be, however, and your post may help with a google search.
Stick around and read a bit.
edit: Thank you, Mugatu. |

Apologies to both of you. There wasn't any need for it and I've edited the comment to be less patronising.
(Note to self: Always preview your post and make sure it doesn't come across the wrong way.)

I apologize if it did come out the wrong way. There is nothing strange about it, just observations and incidents that have happened while in business. Actually I have received the e-mail with the rules just after the post has been put online, so again, my apologies...

It's always a good idea as a general rule to read a bunch of posts on any forum that one is new to, prior to posting. That just helps prevent new people from posting things that might result in eye-rolling from the regulars. FAQ's are always good to read on any forum as well, before one posts.
I don't think your post was "strange," just slightly odd, due to the fact that there are many thousands of posts in here dealing with exactly the scams you mentioned. So some might think it odd that you would describe these scams as if they would be new to us. As a scam baiting site, I don't think there are too many scams out there that haven't been heard of around here. But sometimes new creative ones crop up. Which is great...new challenges! |
