W. A. N. K. E. R. ... brilliant! Laughing

Let's see.... N could be "Nigerian" and K could be "Kickoff," it doesn't have to be something smart.

I think something more generic may be more appropriate

N = Could be a sponsors name. (they chuck in an additional $100k maybe for sponsorship.
K = kickstand maybe.

NK= , short for and , the two major sponsors.

Each shirt has to have two things on it:

On the front, the title W.A.N.K.E.R. and below that, the words "."

On the back, the logo of their corporate sponsor.

Okay, is everyone happy with that?

And do we have corporate logos for Nimrod and Klambake? They'll have to go on the website. If not, I'll make something up.

let's see, a google search for "Klambake" turns up this, you think they'd mind if we based the Klambake art on that?

How about New Zealand to Kanada? Love to see them tackle the water. We'd need to include jumps.

Oh hang on... I think that we are going to need to include jumps.

Jumps would require the race official to set them up.

I picture it as two different companies working together, and

And I'd love to collaborate on a logo for the partners. Let's make something vaguely suggestive for Nimrod and something just plain goofy for Klambake.

I have been reading your bait. I have to agree with bombardier. you are spending too much energy on this bait. How many mugus do you have that are willing to participate in the race.

I'll leave it up to you two to do that one then. Email it through to me when done. Finished the wording for the home page and the history page. Working on the rules this evening.

Ethical consideration - What if this actually comes to pass, and one of the lunatics manages to get in to a position where an accident is caused on the roads with injuries to a third party, or losses to the scooter rental agent. From a safety point of view, you couldn't even guarantee spectator safety in a circuit race scenario. I for one am not volunteering to hop down to Lagos for the day to act as FIM Clerk of the Course, although I could be persuaded. Of course I'd need an excellent hotel room booking.... Smile

I agree. thats why I am going to attempt to get it on the dirt roads in the middle of nowhere. Preferably with jumps now, for added excitement.

You should see the action shots I've picked up for inspiration on the website. My organiser better be damn good. Anyone know of any muppets who may actually run this puppy for me based on previous baiting experience.

I don't think we need lads who have been baited before, just bait a dozen or more lads looking for one and my guess is you'll find a couple of good ones.

Yeah, I know. Just thought it might be easier if we definitely knew we were dealing with an idiot.

But then again, once burned, twice shy I guess.

So you have no potential lads? I think you need to put acquiring lads into stage one of the plan. You can't bait without lads. Most of your effort is going to be identifying willing lads not to mention baiting them convincingly enough to get a herd of them to actually show up & race without having receive one penny from you. Plus you have to find enough willing lads that have access to the bikes.

Is the plan still to have them race from Nigeria to Kenya? That's not going to encourage lads to sign up IMO. Esp. if you tell them they have to pay 1/2 of the entry fee. Why not have your 1st character tell them they will be matched with a sponser and then pass them on to the sponser character who will pay the fee & the lad wears their logo? You need to maintain control of the bait too. Don't have the organizer lad set the date/place, you set it, you set the route or have the organizer scout locations for you to make the final decision. Really you should find an organizer first & have him send lads your way to be matched with a sponser. Set a quota on him like at least 3 lads. Tell him there is a base finder's fee of X amount of $$ for 3 & give him an additional fee per lad over the quota. If one of the lads he gave you wins or places he gets another piece of change.

You are doing way too much work, esp. for a ladless bait. It's too complicated. It doesn't have to be this complex. Plus the lads have to do all or a majority of the work. Your website doesn't even have to be all that complex either. Cut & paste rules & info from other sites. I think a Racer sign up thing on the website would be a nice touch. Make the lad write a little bio about himself too w/ his picture, preferably in his racing outfit w/ his sponser's name. That would be a nice trophy before the race even starts. Twisted Evil

If I were you, I'd listen to Bombardier's suggestions/advice a little more carefully, he does specialize in this sort of thing ya know. Just my $.07, it's your bait you can do it however you want, just trying to help it be successful.

Sorry mate, you are a little bit adrift of the 8-ball there.

Basically, I'm building up a website for authenticity. Then I'll get my lad, who will eb doing all the organising. Once we have a date set, then the racer baiting will go ahead full tit.

The race won't be a mammoth race, it'll be a little one. The Nigeria-Kenya thingwas more of a laugh. Though the photo and Bio thing is a great idea.

As for a number of lads per baiter, I agree. I was thinking that we need to develop this into a team event.

THough, I do see what you mean about the effort put in. The way I see it. If I have to spend a little more time, but it creates something magic, I don't mind too much. However, once the website is up and running, there will be very little effort needed.
