Im glad to see that you have decided to reply,I see it is very short letter.
It is all right because you are astonished to get my letter.
I want you to know that I have only good intentions and I have not any secrets.
The thing is that I will work in your country for three months or so and
I would like to meet a nice man to fall in love or just be closest friends.
I don't want to live in Russia because I have not any chances here,
it is hardly possible to explain from first time but I want you to know my plans.
I will work in any shop, bar or restaurant the agency that
i am going through will suggest me some locations.
It will be my choice in the end as to what option to go for.
So I will have a simple work till I improve my English. And I can choose any
town of your area,agency will only help me to get a visa
and all travel documents + some suggested placed to work in.
My best friend last year met the man from the USA when she worked there for three months, too.
She had two jobs. From morning till 4 pm she worked in amusement park
and after it she worked as a waitress in some bar till midnight.
She was very tired of course but made very good money there.
It is special programm for young people who wants to work abroad and I think it is the right way for me ,
I am lost here,and I think that I look pretty enough to find a better place .I want to repeat the same way,it is
only my chance to meet a nice man.I want to work in USA or in Europe or any
nice country. I am full of plans and different dreams and I want to share my
life with good man because I'm also full of love and tenderness,I know that
I am not so beautiful like Hollywood Princess but I do hope to meet my Prince and
I am sure he will be not be disappoined to meet me in the real life!
This is why I am going to go through the same way.
Well,I will close this letter and I do hope to get your reply.
I will leave russia in two weeks or so (I can't tell you everything exactly
right now) and I would like tobe sure that I have the man who waits for me there.
I will work all day and I want to find a man to spend all free time together to get to know each other better.

I had a date scam get through my spam blocker and wow, she's pretty. Wow, what a surprise. So I thought I'd play the bating game for the first time ever.

Her "name" is Ilia (isn't that a man's name in Russian?) and "her" email address is [email protected]. This is a little more elaborate than scams I've read about. She (I know, probably not) said in her first email that she didn't know how my email ended up in her mail box etc. etc. but soon she'll be visiting my country (as soon as I tell her which one it is, I guess).

I ignore that email (although quietly appreciate the photos she sent). Then about a week later, "she" emails again asking me why I didn't reply, throwing more hot photos of some beautiful girl my way. I replied to the message from a spam magnet account (since that always works) with one sentence of obvious bait: "I'm a recently divorced executive of a local large high tech company".

Well got a personalized "my dear friend!" email! And the real meat of the scam:

I�ve already told you that I�m planning to visit your country. My uncle used to live in the USA. He died 7 months ago. I have to go to the USA to settle the matters concerning the fortune he left. My uncle has left about $250,000 in his account. I think that�s a lot of money � and I have to get it!

Soon I�ll be told which city I�ll have to go to � I will inform you about it if you are interested. Most likely it will be Alaska. I never been in USA.

How to proceed here? I'm only going for maximum number of hot pictures which I enjoy more than pictures of scary Nigerians. Obviously "she" is going to suddenly have some trouble getting to my country (which happened to be the U.S.) to claim her fortune and will need "a little" financial assistance.

First of all, only $250,000? I think I should tell her that's peanuts in these parts. As "the executive of a high tech company" I get a bonus larger than that even in the years my pretend company loses billions. "She" might be able to buy a nice car or two with that pocket change.

I'm guessing I just continue to play stupid with a long long long email, saying how sorry I am that her uncle died and so on. I should connect the "honesty and decency" bit with my "divorce", saying I was glad to have signed a prenump so my tramp of an ex-wife was only able to steal a half million dollars from my fortune. I'll play stupid, explaining in boring detail what the agreement was about, how my company makes the chips that make computers smart, and so on since a beautiful Russian girl like her wouldn't know about such things. Naturally I'll send her a copy of my corporate picture:

The thing is, there are very much on script...questions i ask, are just ignored...they fill you up with pictures...but ask them a questions...then there stop...

So get their attention and send an answer in the form of a huge (size) edited picture with the question/change in conversation:
You won the lotto and you'll be over as soon as you have all the money in the bank. Have her pack a suitcase and be ready
You inherited a huge sum; you'll bring her to your country she just needs to fill out some immigration forms. Safari?
You have aids and need someone to take care of you soon, would she be interested? She will be in your will as main receiver of the 3 mil. family funds.
You need to launder a huge sum before the IRS gets you.

I've been corresponding with this one, I'm at the email where she is in St. Petersburg, with the one picture. I told her I lived in the US but worked overseas, and was due a vacation soon and I could take it in Russia, so we could meet there before she committed to coming to the US. No response as of yet.
