Like everyone else, I wanted to see Paris serve her entire sentence. Also, I think it sucks she got out early and gets to go home. However, if Paris has a legitimate physical health issue and if it is standard policy to release ill prisoners to house arrest then the situation was handled in the right way. Even if it feels wrong or unfair. If we want celebrities and the wealthy to be treated the same as the average citizen when it comes to accountability and punishment then the same should also apply to early releases and time off. If Paris has a hangnail or sniffles then shame on the lawyers, judge and legal system.

I guess we can take comfort from the fact that if this woman wasn't the world's laughing stock before, she certainly will be now. A lot of people will be very angry about this preferential treatment and I predict that she's going to find a lot of her 'friends' don't return her phone calls any more.

Im just afraid that inevitable happens and she crashed into someone, if she doesnt stop drink driving..

It be really good if she was charged for manslaughter...

My husband is a correctional officer. Guess what happens when the inmates get sick. . . They get to visit on the nurse at the facility. Guess what happens when they get really sick. . . They get escorted to the hospital by officers, treated and then returned to the prison.

I didn't know you could "call in sick" to a prison sentence. Mad

Yeah, well the judge who sent her to jail is demanding to see her in Court ASAP to explain this 'medical condition' and the DA and Sheriff's Dept are filthy about it too. I reckon she'll be back in the slammer before her feet touch the ground.

Slightly OT - any Brits here remember the infamous Ernest Saunders (ex Guinness director) who got out of jail because he had incurable Alzheimers and staged a miraculous 'recovery' as soon as he got home again?

<br>Why don't they simply tag her. That would bugger up her hectic and vacuous social life. There again, she would probably turn it into a fashion accessory.

Personally, I would have her on community service slopping out the toilets in one of the Hotels that has the misfortune to be burdened with the same name.

Paris Hilton is a wonderful person and doesn't deserve this punishment. She is a star, a luminary and gives hope and courage to youth in their otherwise mundane everyday meaningless existence.

Well i don't know much about German politics, but if the SPD really accepts her as advisor, i think that'll be a major issue next elections Wink

@ Zorro : she �s the perfect example of a meaningless existence... Now we just wait for the scandal about the guy who let her go (after some details we don't want to know, but still read), or would they hush that up too?

Ya know I usually don't advocate prison murder, I live in a town with a maximum security prison and death row, but in her case I think it would make the world a better place.

They're saying that she is supposed to receive a dose of some psychiatric drug and that the dosage is too high for the sheriff's office to dispense so they sent her home.

Which I think says it all.
