Hi, I'm new to talk on this forum but have been reading it for a while now.
I also logged recently into Myspace, and have a total of 2 friends right now. Starting with low-profile.
Anyhow, I get this personal message:

hi, how's it going!
So, looks like the time has come for me to start using this account. I can resist it no more! I wandered into your page and well, I liked what I saw.. ;p
Sooo my name is Martha. I think you and I should probably be friends, because you seem pretty nice, and maybe even cute! (it's so tough to tell in this digital world
anyways, i'd go on and on, but I'd like to get an answer from you.. You should check out my other profile on this other site, I'm usually on over there: www.loversworld.org/?id=2468&mypics (my username is foisto). Then maybe we could chat sometime! you know what they say.. looks wins over the eyes, but personality wins over the heart.. haha..
talk to you soon,
Martha |

It's kinda confusing that she calls me cute, because i have drawn, simplified image that doesn't resemble so much me. She also does have only 1 friend (Tom, who is friend of everyone there). Also, she's from Ireland (or so she says) and I'm from Finland, so it's kinda... interesting.
I don't wanna start baiting, because it's from my _real_ account, but if someone else likes to contact Martha, feel free.
Has anybody else been contacted through Myspace? Or is this new way to approach victims? |

MySpace is crawling with scammers. That's where I got all my pets. |

I think I would call that more spam than scam, at least the part you can see right now. She says she likes you, and wants to chat with you, and she gives you an address of this pay site. What's with that? Why can't she just give you her own real address if she wants you to contact her? So this is just trying to get customers for the pay site. If you do sign up for the site and contact her, I don't know if she is going to go on and engage in a scam where you send her money, but I would just ignore her. Even if she is real, someone who gives you the name of a pay site to contact them on is too stupid to bother with. |

I agree with it being spam. But to answer your other question, if a lad can sign up to it and talk to potential victims, then it's almost guaranteed they'll go there and do just that. |

Contacted from myspace and then we had a little fun. |
