I am feeling quite proud of myself tonight. I received a couple of the usual scam emails within an hour of each other in March; for some sport I played along with them both playing the role of a dumb yet greedy English aristocrat.
It soon became clear that my two new friends were both in Lagos Nigeria. So I arranged a meeting at the luxury Sofitel hotel there. Sadly I had to cancel at the last moment because of an urgent matter arising elsewhere but my mates were there and spent the evening getting to know each other.
They are not very happy with me for not turning up but hey all is fair in love, war and 419s! Perhaps I shall be able to get to the next meeting....
