How do I tell a vlad from a desperate?

Another newbie question here. I have registered at mybeloved.net and within a day I am being deluged with messages.
What I was wondering, how can I tell if they're from vlads. I have one email address here which doesn't google at all. Also, her message had her email address in it, but I replied to her on site, and she had actually read my question in that message and answered it. I thought they did standard replies? Is it at all possible that there might be "real" gold diggers out there because they would surely be a waste of time for me to bait? (I did like the pic of her on what looks like a mortuary slab)

They might not mention money for the first few emails, infact some have not had a mention of money for months, but if you read through them all you will see a general theme of a little bit of information and a few questions designed to guage how much money you've got.
Until you have seen a few they will look pretty much like the opening letters from a norm (apart from the blatant 'I've got $20,000 dollars to give you' ones) its the later ones that start to give the game away.

Best bet if you havn't got one and your keen to bait a few, Get a mentor.
They will happily give you the pointers required.

There are certainly some real gold diggers out there. I know a few guys who've married ones and will be regretting their divorce settlements for the rest of their lives. By the same token there are plenty of honest and genuine Russian girls too, and its inevitable that you'll run into some of them whislt Vlad-baiting.

However, I'd guess that 99% of all the responses you'll get will be from Vlads. They don't all operate the same way, so it might take you a few e-mails to figure out their scam, but with a bit of practive you'll be able to spot them a mile off.

Scripted responses and blissful ignorance of the content of your messages are the usual dead giveaways, but there are other strong indications. A quick rush to get you off the dating site and onto e-mail (or occasionally instant messenger) is one. A constant stream of pics, without prompting or you sending any in return, is another. Once you start getting e-mails look at the header for signs that they're using The Bat! and where their IP address points to.

99.99% of what you will get from mybelovednet will be scammers, some use full script and some use script plus a little personal writing to make it look real.
I have had 15 from that dating site and so far all have proved to be scammers.

Did you check the email header for the bat ect ? Twisted Evil

From mybelovednet I have had contact with over 50 "women" and ALL of them have been scammers, except 2!!!
These 2 were genuine women always writing original letters, answering my questions, not sending glamour model style photo's and never ever called me "dear" or "handsome stranger" and always addressed me by my baiting name. I am not here to hassle real women seeking love so I quickly died a disfiguringly painful thrashing machine injury and moved on to the scammers i DO like to play around with.

The easiest way to spot them from the IP headers in their email address, which contain "the bat" and from Mari-El or Cheboskbury (sic) I think. Also as mentioned they usually don't answer questions, but they may as an odd part in the letter, at the very beginning, at the end as a PS or sometimes embedded in the middle of some waffle no one will read.

Send another letter to the same e-mail address (using a different account and name and a different "modality") and see if you get the same "form response" from the suspected vlad.

With the first one I obstinately replied on the dating site rather than to the email. My questions were actually answered in quite a friendly sort of way but it was hammered home that I ought to reply to the email address supplied. I suppose that's a give away in it's own right? And then when the first email came, it was mailed through bat and my charming Nina has forgotten all the answers! <<sniff>>
(But she looks so nice there on her slab that I will have to forgive her for having her computer clock set wrong -- its messing with my database, these things arrive 1 1/2 days into the future.)

I take it then that the ones that monitor the dating site for newcomers haven't got that much to do with the ones who get to write the emails.
And yeah I was overly worried about real people, they're all scammers so far. Newbie worries. Sorry

Also a quick way to test whether they are real or scammers is to check whether they actually read anything you write to them. I use a simple method at times, say for your Nina I would call her Sveta or Olga in the body of the email and see if she notices. 99 times out of 99 the scammer will blithely send you her next scripted baloney with no mention of your faux pas.
