The latest price on Gold is $686 per ounce, an ingot going for appx $241,000. Checked by me within the last 5 minutes.

From your above^^I count--visible--
6 gold bars on the right side of the photo---
4 on the left--
8 in the center pile--
and presumably at least 2 more unseen but integral to the pile. Maybe more...and obviously it could be bricks covered in gold foil...I was born at night, but it wasn't last-night.

That's at least 20 x $241K--and a shitload of millions on the line... I'm no CFEO... But the 3 bags full of gold-dust--LOL--which look like chocolate-drink powder---there is no estimating what all THAT could be worth.

So why not ask your lad about it?

All we could afford were the nickel bags. Then the dime bags. For all those that are into cars with 20" rims, you know them as dubs.
For those that don't know, dubs is short for double dime bags and had not been invented yet. The $35 stuff was the imported.

In a previous life I slaved in a casting plant. The ingots are lot stamped on the top of the bar, which is the fat side while they are still cooling in their molds. The fat sides are on the bottom of the photo.

Amen on that...I lived in Tucson in 1972 [U of Az]--and know well what a 4-finger lid was. We used to sing 'Come back JoJo'...Heather was 4 at the time....enough on that here. PM me for my 'flashbacks'.

Amazing for me to think back to those days. Most computers the size of large Buicks and that ever-eternal tape spinning. Who woulda thought about nowadays? Back then the 'inter-net' was the warm lining in your underwear, according to Carl Carlson.

To tie things up, as you most likely know-- back then The Lads actually had to rely on snail-mail to ply their scams. Generally the 'innocent millionaire behind bars in Spain' scam...One has to admit, the Net is the greatest thing that ever happened for them, absolutely.
