A gentleman name Jim Dunnagin (he is one of the talking heads on CNN whenever there is a military situation) maintains a web page that comments on military-political developments around the world.

Here is his review of the recent Nigerian elections:

I really wouldn't be surprised. Before Obasanju Nigeria had never had a democratically elected government last two terms. He's made it, but it doesn't look like it can last much longer.

Jim Dunnigan has his act together - as does Austin Bay who's also on strategypage. It's a good resource for anybody who wants to keep up on the political situation in places the regular media mostly ignores.
