I have such a nasty suspicion that now that I have discovered the joys of 419, they have figured us all out.

Ok, I have replied to at least 4 or 5 mugus and gotten the standard "thank you for your reply, here is what we must do" reply.

Initially, I claimed I was deaf, had no fax, etc and those 2 went dead, so I thought I needed to be more compliant. So I went very low key and just politely asked for a photo before I sent anything. Ms. F even sent a photo of herself along for good measure. No reply. Ok then,I went even lower-key and politely asked for any sort of identification. Still nothing!

Am I doing something wrong? Coming on too strong? Do I need to give them some numbers right off the bat to keep them happy? Is it my yahoo e-mail? Am I not replying to enough mugus for it to average out? Are they googling my names?

I can't believe they are figuring me out so early. I should think even the dumbest lad wouldn't sent out HIS stuff without identification and would be more compliant...

I don't think they've twigged. I am having the same problem and I can't believe it is because they have figured us out. Likely the internal strife in Nigeria is causing problems (or sumpin' like that).

I know that conditions in Cote de Ivorie have deteriorated considerably. I get travel warning delivered driectly to me, as I really do travel on business. Could be that we are still getting fallout from the recent strike in Nigeria, the conditions in some of the other countries in that region, or, just from looking at the number of new members on this site since I joined, we're keeping them busy.

I doubt it's the last one though.

Just be patient guys, each lad is different just like we are. Some of them are in a huge rush and others like to take their time. I once had one on the line that would reply to my letters every 2 weeks on average. Shocked If they're really crappy scammers they may not have the money to always go to the internet cafe (if that is how they run their scams) and can only intermittently pay the fees required to use the cafe computers. Just give it some time and they'll get back to you, after all their greed outweighs anything else. If they think they've got a sucker on the line they have the patience of a saint.

Its been really quiet in here Muguville this week - a real noticeable lack of lad replies - even from the most frequent/urgent offenders.

I told my lads to cough up documents and they haven't done it, either. No docs? No progress. Nyah nyah nyah!

Now that it is mentioned my mugu traffic has declined considerably as well.

Now all I get is email from young women that want me for sex, viagra sales and tool enlargement machines 100% guaranteed to work along with software cheap.

Not near the mail I used to get.

Wonder what is up?

I dont have any problems with current baits and still receive a lot of 419 mails.

If you need a eager mugu, who will speak on your voicebox and reply in time, contact "mabo lomas <[email protected]>".

Make something up why you are replying so late. He doesnt care.

I'm relieved to see this thread - I though it was just me, but my MuguMail has been down this week. I guess even the lads are entitled to a summer vacation.

Some success...

That old standby, Miriam Abacha, just sent me her international passport.

And surprise surprise, her son likes my photo...oh, my! (Actually, he digs Heather Graham. They REALLY like the blondes, don't they?)

I'm glad to know it's everyone else, too. I'm GETTING tons of mugus, they just don't reply...

I'm still getting plenty of mugu-mail. Recently reseeded for my Gmail bait trap though.

@Scarlet: Don't worry about it. Mugu's have lives outside of this scamming as well. Sometimes I will think a bait has died and move on, only to receive what I had asked for 2 weeks later without any contact in between. Some do twig though, especially when asking for a bizarre picture if they've been baited before or are familiar with scambaiting sites. Just keep on baiting and you'll have success Smile

One thing's for sure - if you get used to getting very few replies, and so reply to lots of mugus on the basis of only 1 in 10 will answer, you'll suddenly find that they all reply and you get swamped... Smile

No problems here. I get a lot of new scammails, and enough reply to my reply (if you follow me Smile ) to keep me busy.

My 419 message traffic is low this week. The prior two weeks with the strike saw an even lower dip.

If the 419 business is down as our stats indicates, then there is a pent-up demand for stolen cash growing -- especially if 419 is Nigeria's #2 economic source of hard currency.

When conditions stabilize, we can forecast a huge surge of 419 message traffic as the guymen seek to re-establish monies and cash flow lost during the strike.

Accordingly, I am taking a postion in the 419 futures market as I see it as an undervalued market at present that is experiencing a short term downturn.

I am selling futures at $4.19 per share and predict a 1000% return due to pent-up demand. Shares must be purchased in blocks of 1000 and payment is in cash by WU to me here on Drinkwater Island.

Only a limited number of shares are available and so you must act now to get in on the ground floor of the coming boom in the 419 market.

My Nigerian scammers have been regular, but I have noticed a my ongoing Ivory Coast bait has slowed down. The lawyer keeps talking about the deteriorating conditions, but I thought it was standard mugu-talk.

I just started yesterday. A friend of mine I visit with on another forum received an inviation to get rich blah blah blah. Because we were so successful with another recently completed troll, I decided to take after the mugu.

I found your site and the games were on! I created two email addresses in another country and started posting in guestbooks.

So far Hugh G. Rection of Viagra Industries has 4 hits, and Navin R. Johnson of Opti-Grap Industries has 17 hits.

I've responded to all the Hugh G. Rection emails, and been able to respond to 4 or 5 of the Navin R. Johnson emails. No returns yet, but lots of hits.

I see a large discrepency between the Hugh G. Rection and the Navir R. Johnson trolls. Maybe these guys are starting to google the names we use to see if there is something "fishy" going on.

As soon as I sort out the modalities I'll keep the board posted on how I'm doing. I've learned a lot here and I'm looking forward to trolling in international waters.

Peas,
